Matthew R. Hagen is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Howard Group. He is responsible for the direction of all finance, accounting, investment and budgeting activities at Howard Group. He also serves on the Howard Group Executive Committee as one of the key central strategists on company business matters.

Mr. Hagen joined Howard Group in 1999 from his position as Corporate Controller with S.M. Morris, Ltd, a construction, manufacturing and industrial development company based in Dublin, Ireland. Prior to joining S.M. Morris, he was a Commercial Manager for Fru-Con Construction Corporation, a multi-national construction company with offices in St. Louis, Washington DC and Vancouver, BC. Mr. Hagen managed all site financial activities on various projects throughout the United States.  

Originally from St. Louis, Mr. Hagen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of CPA’s, the Florida Division of Real Estate and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). A graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, he holds a BS in Accounting, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and licensed Florida Realtor.
