Myra Williams is the Vice President of Marketing for Howard Group. She currently oversees the marketing strategies behind Silver Sands Factory Stores, Grand Boulevard at Sandestin® and Heron Harbor. With a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Louisiana, Mrs. Williams, her husband Mike and daughter Heather moved to the Destin area in 1987. Mrs. Williams joined Silver Sands Factory Stores in 1995 as the assistant marketing director, developing marketing programs that won two SAVVY awards. In January 1996, she was promoted to marketing director of Silver Sands, achieving consistent increases in sales and traffic. She helped Silver Sands achieve an industry ranking as one of the nation’s top outlet centers for several consecutive years. After 10 years as the marketing force behind Silver Sands, Mrs. Williams was promoted to vice president of marketing for Howard Group in 2005. An active member of the community, Mrs. Williams served as the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce 2008 Chairman of the Board, a former board member of the Walton County Chamber Foundation, Boys and Girls Club and Cultural Arts Association. She is also an active supporter of various civic and non-profit organizations including Children in Crisis, Relay for Life and the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation. |
