Sustainability in Action

 at Green Arrow Farms

When Howard Group set out to expand its portfolio beyond traditional real estate development, they envisioned a project that would embody sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community impact. Green Arrow Fields (GAF), Howard Group’s first privately managed farm, stands as a testament to that vision. Located on a 2,000-acre expanse in Ponce De Leon, Florida, GAF integrates regenerative land management with wildlife conservation, creating a harmonious balance between agriculture and conservation.

The Challenge

Creating a Purpose-Driven Development

Launching a farm focused on sustainability required a thoughtful approach, balancing Howard Group’s mission of responsible development with the complexities of land conservation and habitat management. GAF’s focus is toward regenerative farming and biodiversity efforts while maintaining sustainable land practices without large-scale commercial production.

The Approach

Building a Thriving Ecosystem

Howard Group transformed GAF into a hub of sustainable land management and conservation. The farm continues to cultivate Bahia grass and select crops for soil health while maintaining its original infrastructure to support future agricultural opportunities. It also plays a vital role in wildlife habitat restoration, ensuring a balanced coexistence between nature and agriculture.

Key Opertional Elements

  • Biodiversity: Managing habitats for deer, goats, chickens, and turkeys alongside crop production

  • Community Connection: Hosting events and community programs
