With over 25 years at Howard Group, Matt Hagen has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and long-term strategy. As President and Chief Operating Officer, he collaborates closely with the CEO and executive team to shape Howard Group’s vision, oversees major investments, and guides the evolution of its real estate portfolio. Previously, as Chief Financial Officer, he led financial strategy, investment management, and operational efficiencies that helped position Howard Group as a leader in commercial development.
 

Matt’s expertise is built on decades of experience in finance, construction, and real estate development. Before joining Howard Group, he held leadership roles in project and financial management, working on large-scale commercial developments across the U.S. and internationally. A licensed CPA and Florida real estate agent, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southeast Missouri State University. His deep understanding of financial and operational structures ensures Howard Group’s projects are not just successful, but sustainable for the long term.
 

A firm believer in community engagement, Matt currently serves on the Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Hospital Advisory Board and previously served as Treasurer for the Walton County Tourist Development Council.
